HandSprung Productions was a critical ingredient for ArtReach in the successful production and delivery of the world’s largest interactive video installation in Trafalgar Square in November 2008. The success of White Night was down to a fantastic team of people involved, none more so than Tom from HandSprung Productions. The Management team from TAKEPART would like to thank Tom and his team for their contribution to another very successful event. Over 12,000 people attended the launch day in Preston Park with more than 60 clubs and groups showcasing their activities. We were delighted with HandSprung’s professional, friendly and organised management of the day. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were also able to anticipate our needs - which was much appreciated. The day itself ran very smoothly, and we look forward to working together on an even bigger festival in 2010.

‘Crackers?’, Singapore Arts Festival & Northampton
Crackers? is a very complex show, involving fireworks, special effects, projection, surround-sound, 30 performers, 30 crew and an audience of 10,000 - so it is never easy. Producing 2 shows back-to-back 5,000 miles away in 30 degree heat and 85% humidity was quite a challenge, but the Singapore production ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish, thanks in good part to Tom's professionalism. He has a good relationship with clients, sub-contractors, councils and H&S officers alike and his friendly and personable manner helped smooth over difficulties as they arose. Tom is respected and liked by all the crew and artists on the project and they follow his lead in going the extra mile to make sure the show is as good as it could be. He is rigourous in his risk assessment, making us look twice at our equipment and processes, and his calm and level-headed approach during the events ensured that over 30,000 people enjoyed the 3 shows in safety. I look forward to working with Tom on future projects.
